Girls Night Out
**UPDATE** I just received a new batch of BondiBands. Come check out the new stash before I post pictures!!
Tonight!! 5:30 to 8 pm we will be at The Blue Bull 107 E. Telegraph. Enjoy a drink. Order some jewelry from a Silpada consultant or some candles from a Scentsy consultant. Get your "Team McKenna" bracelets ('cuz you know you can never have too many!) A portion of the proceeds from the consultants will go to pay for McKenna's medical bills and, as always 100% of the proceeds from the bracelets will go to the family.
Or, if you are feeling so inclined, just stop by and leave a donation. Those are always welcome too. Cash donations made through the "Friends of McKenna" account at Nevada State Bank are 100% tax deductible! (Please see the side bar for the account number).
Hope to see you there!

Cancer Firkin Sucks 5K
This was a great event with a great turnout. The Pink Totties were expecting 350 participates and it ended up being over 400! It was a beautiful morning if not a bit chilly. Tim, the girls, and I set up our table and hoped for some interest. Here we were freezing our tushes off.
We had a lot of people stop by and ask us about McKenna. There was a lot of concern for how she was doing. We also spoke to many people who know McKenna or have kids who know her. Many people wanted to verify we were going to be there after the race so they could go to their car and get money.
We handed out many cards, sold lots of bracelets and dozens of BondiBands.
Overall it was a success - to the tune of about $400.
On Thursday evening there is another fundraiser going on here in Carson at The Blue Bull.
A Girls Night Out (details on the side bar)
There will be one lady selling Silpada jewelry and one selling Scentsy candle products.
A portion of the profit will be donated to McKenna's family.
I will also be there with the bracelets and BondiBands. I have a new order placed for the BondiBands.
Cross your fingers that they'll be here by Thursday!
If you can't make it, please check out the following links where you can make a purchase.
Scentsy consultant - Desiree Meenan
The McKenna's Fundraiser party has a link on this page.
For the Silpada jewelry our hostess is Griselda Madera
Please contact her at sterlingparty4u at yahoo dot com
for information on ordering.
I have updated the sidebar to reflect the times and locations of all upcoming fundraisers that are currently planned that I know about. If you know of any other events that benefit McKenna, please email me at mitchellkt at gmail dot com with the details and I will get them posted.

New BondiBands are in!
Check out the BondiBand page for new pictures. Please follow the directions at the top of the page on how to order.
I also have listed another event on the sidebar. On Saturday, October 9th, we will be taking donations and selling bracelets and BondiBands before the "Cancer Firkin Sucks 5K". If you need any further information about this event, you can go to the Pink Totties website (click here). You can still register online for the 5K to support the Pink Totties in their mission to raise money for breast cancer research. We, in the Mitchell family, are all about equal opportunity in kicking cancer's a$$.

BondiBands and miscellaneous information
I finally got in touch with my contact at BondiBand. It seems she was out of the country and didn't get my emails that everyone was needing more Bondi's! So, they should be in the mail at the latest tomorrow.
Which means that we won't have them to sell at the Sock Hop at Sonic on Saturday. Bummer! But when I get them, I will be getting the pictures up on the BondiBand page. Remember, first come, first serve! And leave a comment at the bottom of the page with which ones you want that way I know who came first. (Just type in that little white box at the bottom. If you don't have a gmail account, you can leave the comment as "anonymous" but make sure you leave me your details so I can get in touch with you.)
And it has been brought to my attention that those of you looking at this page through Internet Explorer, the information about the events on the sidebar aren't showing up. So I will give you the info on this weekend's activity.
At Sonic Drive-In on College Parkway in Carson City this Saturday (Sept 25th) from 6 pm to 11 pm there will be a free car show/sock hop hosted by Karson Kruzers. We will be there taking donations and selling "Team McKenna" bracelets - $3 gets you one and $5 gets you two.
We hope to see you there. We will have a tablet set up. I will have the last 10 or so BondiBands in my stash, so if you hop over to that page, you'll see what's left.
Thanks everyone for your support of McKenna and her family!
